So, today was just fabulous! The girls were up early playing nicely together, so we actually got ready to make it to Sunday School on time! Then, in Sunday school, someone pointed out that the Senior Pastor was preaching the sermon!!!! This is a HUGE deal because our Senior Pastor is battling 2 different types of cancer and has been receiving chemotherapy basically the entire time I've attended. This is only the 2nd time I've heard him preach. The music minister did an EXCELLENT job with music choices, which included a sneak preview of a song from tonight's children's musical. By the time the preacher took the pulpit the church was definitely primed for his sermon! Then he gave the most incredible salvation message I've ever heard!
Came home for a bit to eat and relax before heading back to church for practice for the performance. Both girls had parts in it (well, my youngest was just asked to be in it this morning, lol) and I was also in the adult choir section. It was a total blessing to be able to take part in this with both my girls! The kids did a fantastic job with the performance and it was a simple, kid-friendly salvation message. Oh and the person that directed it was only a Junior in HIGH SCHOOL! This kid has talent, I'm telling you and a heart to serve the Lord! We're already looking forward to the next production we may be able to get to be involved in. Oh and I've been asked to join the regular adult choir too.
The day closes with hugs, kisses and so many blessed memories made with my family! We'll be talking about this one for a long time.
